Early Years

In Reception we have been talking about our families, sharing photographs of ourselves and our families when we were younger. We have talked about who is important to us in our family and why. We learnt that everyone’s families are different and that everyone has someone they love and care about and who loves them back.

We have been learning all about the story of the Little Red Hen as it is Autumn and Harvest time.  We loved listening to the story, and doing lots of activities about the Little Red Hen. We loved working together to bake bread (and best of all eating it)! We know that we should all work together to help each other, and if someone asks us for help we should try and help if we can as this is kind and we all care about each other.

We are learning all about people who help us. There are so many different people who do different jobs who are there to help us.  We are learning about Firemen, Nurses, Policemen, Vets, Plumbers, Builders… and lots more! Now we are looking forward to having some visitors come into school to show and teach us all about what they do and how they help us. Keep your eyes open for photos!

Marvellous Me

This term we have been learning all about some really important people: ourselves!
